Finding a company that will cater to your individual requirements, and provide shelves to your exact measurements and design is even harder. This is precisely the service we offer at Barncrest. Additionally, the prices of our hardwoods are so competitive that you can now buy a beautifully crafted, solid hardwood shelf for only a fraction more than a fixed-size, laminate or veneer shelf. Please use this quick-quote calculator to work out the price of your required shelves then phone us with your order, or place your order online. The calculated cost includes all bespoke work, required edging design and VAT. Simply email, fax or post us your design. Online orders will be supplied square-edged unless you email your requirements seperately. Please note that floating shelves must be a minimum of 150mm to accept the concealed brackets and a maximum of 250mm to ensure they remain secure.

Pre-oiling service - £10 (per total order)
Barncrest Hardwood shelves are supplied un-oiled, but it is essential that they are treated prior to installation. For your convenience, we offer a pre-oiling service whereby our craftsmen will apply 3 coats of Danish Oil prior to packaging and delivery, making them ready for immediate installation. Please note that (per order) we will pre-oil all of your shelves for only one £10 payment.

Concealed Fixing Brackets - £6 each
Our concealed brackets provide excellent strength in support and a clean ‘floating shelf’
finish. We will professionally pre-drill the necessary holes for these supports for no additional charge. Brackets are sold individually and you will require two brackets per shelf, and three brackets for shelves longer than 1200mm.
Please be advised that floating shelves must be a minimum of 150mm wide and a maximum of 250mm
to use the concealed fixing brackets - We cannot guarantee that there will be sufficient support for shelves which exceed 250mm in width. Floating shelves can only be mounted on a solid masonary wall. We also advise that a small amount of silicone sealant is inserted in the holes before attaching to the brackets. This will always ensure a tight and secure fit.

Set of 3 x supporting Battens - £15
Supporting battens are another elegant solution and are essential for providing adequate supporting strength
when fitting alcove shelving. Three battens are provided: 2x end battens and one to support the rear (not pictured). The battens are produced exlusively for your shelves to ensure they are the correct sizes.

Delivery £20 (per total order)
Shelves are delivered for only £20 per order, irrespective of the total number or overall weight. Alternatively, delivery for shelves is free when purchased at the same time as our worktops or tables.
All of our advertised prices include 17.5% VAT.
