Upstands
Mounting Upstands between your worktops and walls will provide a professional finish to your fitted worktops. 90% of walls are not completely straight which means that worktops will rarely fit completely flush. Additionally, a small expansion gap is required to allow for slight movement in the wood over the years. Upstands are the best solution for concealing these gaps and provide an elegant finish. Upstands can be cut to size and are available in three different styles (50mm x 17mm, 100mm x 17mm or 40mm x 40mm) to cater for your individual taste and requirements.

Protective Wooden End Caps - £35 each
End caps provide a protective elegant finish to the end grain area of worktops. In addition to their decorative qualities, it is essential that they are fitted to worktops sited directly alongside Aga, Rayburn and Range ovens. These ovens produce a lot of heat and the end caps will help to protect the worktop ends from drying out and splitting. We also strongly advise fitting end caps to Island Units and Breakfast Bars to prevent them from warping or cupping over the long term.
Danish Oil
All of our hardwood worktops are supplied un-oiled but it is essential that they are treated correctly prior to installation. For your convenience, we offer a pre-oiling service for full-length and bespoke worktops - plus upstands. Our craftsmen will apply a minimum of 3 coats of Danish Oil prior to packaging and delivery, making them ready for immediate installation. We recommend that you also purchase additional oil for future top-up applications, to keep your worktop always looking at its best.

Moisture Barriers - £10
(600mm x 640mm Aluminum sheet)
Fitting a moisture barrier to the underside of the worktop prevents excessive moisture from penetrating the wood. If your worktop is being installed above kitchen appliances that produce a large amount of heat or moisture (washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, boilers or built-in fridges & freezers), then it is highly advisable to fit a moisture barrier to protect your worktop.
Hot-Rods - £5 each (+ £10 per hot-rod fitting charge)

Stainless steel hot-rods are a modern and stylish solution for providing essential protection to your worktop from hot pans and dishes. Hot-rods are fitted into 3mm recesses in the worktop and are available in three different lengths (200mm, 300mm, 400mm) to accommodate the coverage and style that you require. Hot-rods will provide an essential but elegant safe area for hot pans and cooking dishes.
Granite Inserts - £50 fitted (£90 for two)

We offer a choice of three different granite designs to complement traditional or contemporary kitchens. The granite is fitted in to the worktop to provide an essential but elegant safe area for hot pans and cooking dishes.

Breadboards - £20

A matching breadboard will complement your worktop and provide an ideal dedicated cutting area to protect your worktop from damage. Breadboards are available in all of our wood types.
Wax Sticks (3 pack) - £5
The beauty of a wooden worktop is that small cracks and accidental dents can always be easily repaired. The three wax-fillers provided in each pack have been carefully selected, for each individual wood, to provide you with the perfect colour shades required to invisibly repair any area of your chosen worktop.
Worktop Connectors & Biscuits (3 pack) - £3
Worktop connecting clamps and biscuits are essential when joining or butting worktops together. If you are arranging this work yourself, our packs provide a low-cost way of purchasing only what you require.
Slotted Expansion Brackets (20 pack) - £5
Hardwood worktops must be fitted to the baseunits using slotted expansion brackets only. Take care to ensure that the brackets are always fitted the correct way round and do not over-tighten the screws. These brackets will allow for the worktop to naturally expand and contract across the width in accordance with changes in humidity. Failure to use the correct brackets or fit them correctly can apply undue stress to the worktop and may cause splitting to occur.
